Dependable accomodation, Great Location

The Manualoha complex has superb location, particularly buildings six and below. Its a very short walk to both Brennecke beach and Poipu beach and is located next to a green belt with a path to Shipwreck beach. It also has by far the best pool in the Poipu Kai complex (its a decent size, overlooks Brennecke beach, and has washroom facilities that voids trips back to your unit. Unit 105 is located right next to the pool (very handy) and has a good layout with two bedrooms on the 1st level (the master bedroom is very large as is its en-suite bathroom), a large relatively open concept kitchen/dining room/living room on the second level, large lanais on each floor, and a superb view of Brennecke beach from the second level. The downside is that this unit is older (it is not one of the units in the Manualoha complex that has been recently updated) and feels a bit tired. Also, the knives in the kitchen left a lot to be desired. While we would stay here again because of its prime location, we would be tempted by other Manualoha units further back that have been updated.

Great location, needs updating

If you want to stay close to the ocean and beach, this is a great unit. You can hear the waves crashing at night, and its a 3 minute walk to Breneke beach, and Poipu Beach. The living room furniture could use some updating, it wasn't very comfortable, and this unit does get very hot in the afternoons, as the sun starts to set. No air conditioning, and the outside temps were only about 75, but inside the living room was much hotter than that. All that being said, we had a great time in Kauai and don't spend much time in the room anyway, and we probably would stay here again.

Just steps to the beach

Second time staying in Poipu Kai and this was even better than the first. Very close to the beach, you could hear the waves! Only drawback is that the unit gets lots of sun and gets hot if you don't draw the blinds during the day. Great space for families, lots of room to stretch out, way better than a hotel room!

Another great visit to Suite Paradise

This is our 9th stay at Suite Paradise and first in Manualoha 105..This is a beautiful condo, view is great and facility is in very good shape. Proximity to beach and pool is excellent. The couch is not a pullout..We had 6 people and needed to get a blow up bed for 2 of our party from the office, which they supplied when we requested. We are always impressed with the staff and how they go out of their way to be helpful...Wish I were there now...

Great location Great view-showing a little wear, and a little Bu

As far as the Suite Paradise management's service and help the experience is 5 star. They were especially helpful in arranging the delivery of our stored possessions to the unit early on the day of our arrival! The location of the unit is excellent. It is easy walking distance to a popular beach walking paths and some of Poipu's best beaches. The unit has a great view and is close to the Manualoha pool which also has a great ocean view and is a great place to watch the sunset from over some wine or an iced cold beer. We have stayed in this unit before and it's starting so show some wear and a little lack of TLC. There was quite a bit of long standing dirt, crumbs, etc in furniture, and hard to get to places. There also, was a small water leak or some dripping condensation under the sink that triggered buzzing in small water alarms in the same area. The biggest disappointment was an insect problem, that was considerably worse than last year. We understand we are in the tropics, but the level of Buggs in the unit was unusual, including the three very large cockroaches we killed and the large # of roach babies and continual occurrence of ants starting day one. Despite the bug problems and the wear and tear, we would stay there again; and in fact tried to book it for next year. Unfortunately the owner is using it next year at the time we would have been in Poipu. Luckily Suite Paradise management arranged for us to see a couple of similar units and we were able to book an outstanding unit close by # 105

Sea breezes, swaying palms, breaking waves, and beautiful sunse

Outstanding aloha service from the front office and maintenance. Mahalo to all. We loved the total design. 2nd fl bedrooms and 3rd fl kitchen, dining, living, and large windows, plus the views from the 2nd and 3rd fl balconies that face the pacific ocean. The condo has beautiful furniture and the kitchen is supplied with everything except food. In the Master bath, consider some type of venting for the sea breezes. Walk or drive to the beach with gear stuff. It's close and as is food deli and dining places. Koloa town for groceries and shopping. Find Happy hour dining deals. They are great. Plan your days [traffic] visit something and return to afternoon snorkel with maybe a turtle or two, but don't chase them. It's a no no. Just watch them while they feed on algae. We just loved the stay in Kauai, and plan to return here and visit some other areas that we missed.

Great

The condo and location was wonderful. Our only issues were with a broken bathroom door and the dryer. The handyman who came to work on these problems was very nice and lots of helpful suggestions of things to do and places to go.

Man105 has exceptional views from bed!!

Man105 is a 1700 sq. ft. 2 story townhome offering not only the very best view of Shipwreck to Poipu Park Beach but the walkway leading to both is just a few feet from the townhouse. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogy boards are in the closet. It has a washer/dryer, all kitchen and dining pieces for you, and guests, for a beautiful dinner on both Lanis. White water views from the Lanis will start and end your days!! We are already booked for 2013. It is not a townhome for guests not able to walk stairs. You enter on the 2nd floor and go up to the 3rd for kitchen and livingroom.

I expected more from Suite-Paradise

We booked this unit because of the view.We arrived after the office was closed, but the next day I had to complain. This unit was supposed to be extra deluxe,2bdr,2.5 bath with a sofa bed, sleeps 6.The sofa bed had been screwed shut and I was told that the parts were order from the"mainland".The inside door knob was corroded, the carpeting throughout was so dirty that I didn't want to walk barefoot on it.The cranks on the windows were broken and so was the latch on the master bedroom lani door, which should have been replaced. The sliding doors on the 2nd bdr and 2nd bath kept coming off the tracks. The boards on the lani were not fastened. The light from the patio below this unit shined through the uncovered glass door all night. There were no grab bars on either shower, the tile grout in the master bdr was discolored. Everything in this unit needs to be updated and fixed. Now on to the termites, they were devouring at least one chair and it looked like they had started on the wood wall covering in the upstairs bathroom.( I know we are in the tropics)There was a 4 day span between the last guests and when we arrived, that should have been enough time to clean, fix and replace things. The manager called and said the owners will refund 2 of the 10 nights that we were there. This was our third visit to Poipu Kai Resort. The people there are pleasant and helpful. I think they could be more deligent in inspecting the units. One would think that $300.00 a night would get you more that a view.
